Approximately 6 years ago, I saw an ad in the newspaper. A guy
wanted to trade this 1934 Chevy Streetrod sweetie for a Chevelle SS
in mint condition. I met him on Route 1 in Elkridge to look over the car.
I couldn't make up my mind and went home. A month later, on my
birthday, the guy called and wanted to know why the Chevelle wasn't
in the World of Wheels show. I went over to his house that afternoon
and made the trade.
As anyone knows, I really didn't want to give up my 1969 Chevelle SS
with the Big Block nor the need for speed....Vroom Vroom....
but.......
I couldn't resist the 1934 Chevy Coupe. So as the story goes, I
traded it on the spot and came home with the coupe.
The car was chopped, channeled, and finished approximately 12 years
ago by a man in Pennsylvania. The unique thing is that he used the dash,
shifter, etc. from a 1989 Trans Am. He originally built
the car for his wife. The car is simple and sweet and is definitely
an eye catcher. She has been driven numerous times to Ocean City,
Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and as far as Myrtle
Beach,SC.........a definite cruiser.
She's a sweetheart!
