Doris & Joe Bouchat

1969 Chevy Chevelle Convertible
402 engine / 350 transmission / air conditioning

We found it in South Carolina at Low Country Classic dealership.
We got it to have fun and to meet people. It is a real nice cruiser.

We started off with a 1964 Chevy Belair. It needed a lot of work. Joe got it
into condition to get on the road, with a brand new engine. It ran real good and
fast. In the meantime, we had a 1993 Honda Goldwing 1500 motorcycle.
It was beautiful, but we had to sell it for health reasons.

Now we had all this money and were looking for a real cruising car.
We went to the Dorsey Road lot one Saturday night and found this beautiful
red and white 1964 Olds Cutlass. It had everything.

We kept the Olds for a couple of years and then we began looking for a convertible.
We got one of those magazines at a Giant and there on the front page was
OUR CAR!

The only thing wrong was it was in South Carolina. The next thing I knew, we
were in the truck, with a trailer on the back with the Olds on the top. We traded
the Olds for this beautiful 1969 Chevy Chevelle SS convertible.
We LOVE it. Joe has done a lot of work to it. He even painted it himself.
What a great job!

We have made quite a lot of friends during the time we have been in this club.
We have also been to a lot of places that I have never been to before. We
cruise everywhere in it. We have been to Indiana 3 times, Niagara Falls,
Tennessee, Virginia, Pennsylvania, etc. The car rides great……

We both won the biggest and best TROPHY when we found our great car!!
